Welcome to our last episode of 2020 on the POV podcast.
A global pandemic has inevitably an impact in the way we perceive and experience intimacy and sexuality. Social distancing, isolation, and uncertainty have forced us to confront ourselves, often our fears, our dating habits, the physical and emotional ways in which we connect to others, and sometimes to reevaluate our love and sex lives.
On the POV podcast we’ve had many conversations around these topics, we’ve talked about the first sexual encounters, about gender, about love in times of Corona, about nurturing relationships, about power dynamics, and racism in porn, about creating online festivals and communities, we’ve spoken to Lustery couples, sex educators, festival organizers, dating apps creators, kink experts, porn performers and directors.
This podcast aims to create a space for talking openly, sharing different perspectives and amplifying voices, and in a world where communication around sex is scarce and biased, where many people feel lonely and weird, and wonder if they’re ok, and struggle with their own bodies and desires - listening to these wonderful people talk so candidly about their own experiences has been an adventure we feel grateful for.
We wanted to collect the wisdom we have gathered, to share the advice we’ve received, and hope that these empowering words will accompany you and guide you, and hold you, when you need it.
