Watching porn with your loved one. My personal experience.

Category: Couple News

I confess that my experience with porn has not always been a positive one.

The first issue to me has always been that adult movies forced me to compare my (normal, natural) body with those (perfect, plastic-surgery-enhanced) ones I saw on the screen. This is not exactly a turn-on! I must say that this has had to do more with myself and my own mind than with porn itself: some years ago, when I went on my actual contraceptive pill, I increased from a size XS to a M, and I faced a lot of shaming about it.

I can't today realize why people were so obsessed with my extra pounds: they seemed to not notice anymore my smile or my personality, but instead they only focused on the changes in my body. Going shopping with friends started to become less and less fun, with them keeping on saying 'You would look fat in this! You could only wear it when you were a size XS!

Still, I must admit seeing a perfect model in a non-sexual contest was less uncomfortable to me than watching one in porn. For me sex has always been related to feeling loved and cherished by another human being, so the whole thing made me wonder 'are those XS bodies more worthy of love than I am?'.

Let alone watching porn as a couple, while my loved one would definitely notice how perfect and thin the performers are, while instead I was feeling so ugly because of wearing a size M!

As for watching porn together, we simply didn't feel aroused by watching it. Most scenes looked to us simply like a demonstration of the incredible, illusionist-like abilities of the female performer to swallow huge World's Record cocks, or to take them into their magically stretchy orifices.

Needless to say, this created quite of a competitive setting where the female viewer (me) was always not as good as those skilled professionals on the screen, and the male viewer (my partner) could never dream of having in their pants a tool as big as the Guinness ones of the performers.

We laughed watching those kind of adult movies, but sex as a demonstration of skills that's completely detached from emotions has never felt arousing to us. It's simply not like this that the 'sexy' parts of our brains function, period. I'm not talking about love: I think you can have a deep connection and communication with someone even if you're casual partners.

One evening I was browsing on YouPorn for a mix of reasons, including boredom and the typical horniness that comes to find me every month during my period.

This time I was determined to find something different from the usual, stereotypical sex that seemed only to belong to supermodels: that's how, searching 'porn for women', I stumbled across the catchy logo of the Lustery channel. As soon as I hit 'play' to start seeing the first video, a new world of possibilities opened in front of my eyes. From one side, finally I could see bodies like mine allowed to have sex on camera, and I must say they were having wild, wild sex.

From the other side, the couple represented were absolutely normal folks like me and my partner: their deep connection was  visible on camera and made the whole scene look like the real sex we actually have in our life as a couple. Nothing exaggerated, or unrealistic, or illusionist-like: those videos taught me how beautiful is real sex, between normal people of all sizes, ethnicities and sexual preferences.

That evening I sent that YouPorn link to my partner, who lives in another city. For the first time in my life, I was actually looking forward to browse the hot, steamy Lustery channel together...

Since then, quality inclusive adult videos have been a must have to spice our long distance evenings: not only they put us both instantly in the mood for a torrid Skype session that perhaps wouldn't be otherwise at the top of our to-do list, but they can also suggest sexy fantasies that we would never have imagined. They can act as 'conversation-starters' to confess each other our naughtiest desires, and they boost our complicity giving a voyeuristic twist to our sexy time.

We think all couples can enjoy watching porn together: only, they must find the right porn that fits their needs and is suitable for their personalities.
